Lake District (Petrohue/Peulla)

The next day was the Petrohue to Peulla boat tour.  The weather was a better, but still a bit more overcast than what I would like.

We started with a visit to a national park, which showed off a little bit of what the Lake District is known for--kayaking and white water rafting.

There was a lot more that I wanted to see of this park, but unfortunately, we were only given 20 minutes to see whatever we needed to see, and were sternly warned that if we were late for the bus, it would leave without.

So, after literally running around the park, I boarded the bus to Petrohue from where we would take the ferry across Lago Todos los Santos to Peulla.

The weather did start out fairly nice, with some blue sky and no rain.

But it didn't last too long, and the clouds rolled in as we approached Peulla.

Peulla is a nice little resort town, with a couple upscale hotels nestled in the nook between two mountains.  I had the option of staying one night when I bought the tour, but opted not to as my time was limited.  But that did not stop me from taking advantage of the time that I was given in Peulla, as I sat down in a nice lounge of one of these hotels, and worked on my computer.

When it was time to go, I packed up, grabbed a piece of pizza, and made the half hour walk back to the ferry in the rain as I ate my pizza.  It rained practically the entire time on the trip back, but I saw what I needed to see.
